Something Fishy
Or not, that’s kind of the point. UK student Lucy Hughes founded the firm MarinaTex, cleverly cooking up in her kitchen a biodegradable alternative to plastic.
No taste or smell, this material is made from fish scales and red algae, the waste that gets thrown away. A remarkable material, though still in its infancy, this plastic alternative helps us be more of a circular economy. Pretty smart.
