About Pickle Design
Pickle Design is an independent design studio based in Wadebridge, Cornwall. Since 2006, we have created websites, branding, illustration and print for businesses and organisations across Cornwall and further afield.
The name comes from the idea of preserving something worth keeping. That remains a useful test for our work: it should suit the client, do its job properly and still feel right after the novelty has worn off.
Pickle began in 2006 with Carl’s background in graphic design and print. As the studio has grown, Emma’s distinctive visual style and warm, easy manner have become an important part of both the work we create and the relationships we build with our clients. Together, we combine graphic design, illustration, web development, SEO and production knowledge, while Maria keeps the accounts and administration running smoothly.
We are a small team, so clients deal directly with the people doing the work. Some come to us for a single leaflet or website update. Others rely on us for long-term design, web, print and SEO support. In either case, we consider each project as a whole and offer clear communication, practical advice and a straightforward account of what is involved.

Carl started Pickle in 2006 after working in the print industry. He works across graphic design, websites, SEO and project planning, bringing the different parts of each job together.

Emma creates branding, illustration, print and digital design, bringing ideas together with a distinctive visual style and a warm, collaborative approach.
Maria Spencer
Accounts & Administration
Maria looks after accounts, invoices and the financial administration that keeps everything running properly.
