Homewares catalogue design

Caroline Walker is a Cornwall-based artist whose distinctive paintings and illustrations have been developed into a wide range of homewares and gifts. In 2017, she asked us to create a catalogue that would present the collection clearly and give buyers a strong sense of its character.

The A4 format allowed generous space for large product photographs, illustrated details and styled room settings. We kept the layouts clean and spacious, using a warm, restrained visual style that allowed Caroline’s work to remain the focus.

Supplied photography was edited and carefully arranged into product groups and lifestyle stories. Contrasting typefaces and a familiar grey cover connected the catalogue with Caroline’s existing printed material, while the uncoated stock gave the finished piece a softer, more tactile quality.

Separate editions were prepared for the UK and US markets, allowing the product information to be adapted while maintaining the same design throughout. The result was a practical sales catalogue that also felt like a considered presentation of Caroline’s work.
