Print design for a Cornwall-based artist

Caroline Walker is a Cornwall-based artist whose work includes expressive animal studies, colourful landscapes and illustrations developed into homewares and gifts. Our work for Caroline has centred on presenting that variety through clear, carefully produced print.

Caroline first approached us after seeing the brochure we had designed and printed for The Rock Gallery. The quality of that finished piece was important to her, and led to two coordinated fold-out brochures: one presenting her animal artwork and another devoted to her landscape paintings.

Emma gave the pair a shared dark grey cover featuring Caroline’s handwritten signature. Inside, spacious layouts, simple typography and clean white backgrounds allow the artwork to take the lead, while a consistent structure connects the two very different collections.

Our work for Caroline also included an A4 homewares catalogue, designed around large product photographs and styled interior settings. We edited and prepared the supplied imagery, organised the collection into clear lifestyle stories and produced separate editions for the UK and US markets.

Across both projects, we managed the design, artwork preparation and printing. Careful production was particularly important, from reproducing the fine detail and dark tones of Caroline’s animal studies to retaining the colour and texture of her landscapes and illustrated products.
