Caroline Walker

Artist brochures designed and printed in Cornwall

Caroline Walker is a Cornwall-based artist whose work ranges from expressive animal studies to colourful landscape paintings. She approached us after seeing the brochure we had designed and printed for The Rock Gallery, and wanted the same care and quality applied to the presentation of her own work.

Emma designed two coordinated fold-out brochures: one devoted to Caroline’s animal artwork and another presenting her landscape paintings. A shared dark grey cover, finished with Caroline’s handwritten signature, gives the pair a restrained and recognisable identity.

Inside, the treatment becomes light and spacious. Clean white backgrounds, simple typography and carefully balanced layouts allow the artwork to take the lead. The same underlying structure connects the two brochures, while the very different collections give each one its own character.

We also prepared the artwork and managed the printing, paying close attention to the fine detail and dark tones of the animal studies as well as the brighter colour and texture of the landscapes. The finished brochures give Caroline a polished pair of promotional pieces for presenting the breadth of her work.
