Canevas Geo by Charlotte Lancelot
5th March 2019
I spotted this joyful textile at a website full of pieces of design for architects. I just love how the colours merge like shading in a sketch book. The designer, Charlotte Lancelot, took her inspiration from looking at crops fields from above.

She uses the same cross stitch technique produced with coloured wool threads on a perforated felt base, the effect is very calming.

The rug doesn’t conform to a standard shape, allowing fluidity of space. Satisfying texture but with a subtlety that suits both old and new environments.
