A Kindergarten Based on Children’s Drawings
22nd July 2016
You can instantly see the stylised kids’ drawings that inspired this kindergarten design in Copenhagen, Denmark. A very ambitious architectural project that you will not be surprised is in Scandinavia, consistently the home of innovation in design.

Designed by Danish firm COBE who won a competition in 2011 to build the Frederiksvej Kindergarten in collaboration with landscape firm Preben Skaarup, engineer Søren Jensen and consultant Learning Spaces. The building is created from 11 small house-shaped blocks, organised around two winter gardens.
