Iceland Inspires

21st November 2017

Normally I long to go to places that are warmer than our fair England but at the moment I do find myself hankering after the extreme beauty of Iceland. It’s true Iceland has its fair share of exposure on the world wide web, but today I thought I’d share these images from artists Jonathan Besler, Kevin May and Florian Gampert because, well, they are beautiful. These dedicated creatives trekked across the scenic landscape to capture the most stunning views.

They put together a five minute video titled ‘The North Awakens’ using a drone. This way we get to see perilous areal views that normally only birds can enjoy. Rugged mountaintops, glaciers, and best of all the stunning northern lights.

At the end of the video they quote Shakespeare, “The earth has music for those who listen”. You cannot fail to be inspired by this breathtaking landscape. Even in its darkness colours are still so vivid, and the Northern Lights are a site to behold. You can see the video here.
