Abel Rodríguez

I only recently came across the stunning work of artist Abel Rodríguez. He creates really meticulous drawings of his home, the Colombian Amazon and has long been considered an expert in these endangered areas. His artworks are beautiful but also accurate, he uses his rare knowledge of the ecology of the Amazon to render each leaf in the immense canopy.

I love the colours and patterns Rodríguez creates, the self-taught artist brings this precious and vanishing part of our world to our attention in a truly captivating way.
