Pencarrow House and Gardens, just outside Wadebridge, approached us to create a website that reflected who they are. This quirky historic house is full of personality and charm and we wanted to communicate this through our design.

We took inspiration from the Georgian shades of soft pinks and slate greys and created little illustrations pulling out trivia from this remarkable house.

The history of Pencarrow

The website features sliding images, editable content and galleries where our clients can add historic archive information about the house. Events can be added to the site too, keeping it fresh and informative. We also worked with our clients for the copywriting, given the brand a tone of voice that better reflects the family and the house. The website is built so it can grow and adapt with the brand, as well as making it easy for our clients to keep it current. This may be a historic house but it is always adapting and growing!

We used some of our illustrations like the peacock and statue to tie the design in with the website and hand illustrated a new map for the trail. The clues are nice and clear with boxes for children to fill in the letters.

The back page has space to right the word and points people to the website. The social media icons are also nice and clear, matching the design of the previous leaflets we have designed. A lovely project to work on!
